Champions DFW Investments – Property Management Podcast

property management podcast

Champions DFW Commercial Realty, LLC, turns its focus to an investments and property management podcast. Jim Kelley hosts the podcast, and he is joined by two from the Champions DFW team: Lon Lloyd (Director of Investment Sales) and Jeannine Brown (Director of Property Management).

Here is an excerpt of their conversation…

JB: We’re always going to have the best interest of our client–the owner in mind. We need to take care of the expectations of the tenant, but do it in such a way that we’re upholding their obligations under the lease. Yet still take care of the property the way that they would want it to take be taken care of as well. So there is a fine line between allowing certain things to enter into negotiation when you’re talking to a tenant about maybe their interior improvements or are their items of that they’re obligated to take care of such as many times that would be their HVAC equipment and taking care of that in a way that it’s going to service the tenants needs, but also be a long term mechanical equipment that’s taken care of properly for the owners. So in the long run, we can save owners money and still keep tenants happy and hopefully they’ll renew and and stay in the property for many years to come.

JK: Well thanks for sharing that. I know there’s a lot of people who have a lot of questions Jeannine and they may not be exposed to property management how can they learn more about our services and or visit with you more in detail about properties they may have or may be struggling with?

JB: Well we’re always available for an appointment. If somebody would like to come in sit down or we can come to their property it’s always a good idea to to look at the product and see what we’re dealing with as far as what’s involved in maintaining the equipment and so forth so we are available to meet with anyone who calls up and and wants to have that conversation were ready and available
